My name is Ulf Nilsson. Im 39 years old, and have been into the Martial Arts for 25 years now. My early years I tried several different arts, but my main style was Taekwondo, those early days have no real influence on my current training though. Styles Ive practised over the years are: Aikido, Wing Chun, Taekwondo, Garimot, KunTao, Silat, Yin Bagua, Amok! My website: http://www.landskronakungfu.n.nu
But the styles that always fascinated me most, where the Chinese styles, and especially XingYi and Baguazhang. No schools existed near me so training in them was impossible, it wasn´t until about 2000 that I started seriously exploring them, and I´ve never regretted my choice since. In 2003 I meet Mattias Persson, and my search for the combative rather then the competitive or recreational, finally found its home. The same year we started training under Tom Sotis whom without a doubt is the martial artist that has inspired me most. To Tom and Mattias I will always feel the greatest gratitude, and will always cherish their training and friendship.
Also in 2004 my Bagua training found a higher level, as I meet Fredrik Regn, whom is an excellent teacher and bagua-practicioner. I also have had the privilege to train under the Head instructor He Jinbao in that style of Yin Bagua, which was a fascinating and enlightening experience. Even though I no longer is training under Fredrik Regn, Im always grateful to him, and hope YSB has a bright future here in Sweden.
In Recent years, Sifu Christer Wretfors from WBBM has been kind enough to share his YauKungMun etc. Which has increased my understanding of power generation and applications of “traditional” techniques tremendously. I continue my training under him as often as possible. Sifu Christer has like no one else really made me a thousand times better martial arts practitioner, but I have obviously a very long way to go. He has also taught me to understand meditation and its great advantage, as well as revive my love for internal arts. I recommend Sifu Christer strongly to anyone who is seriously interested in Chinese Martial Arts and want real qualitative progress, in both physical and mental exercises.
